Channel Advisors for Fractional Channel Chief Work
Senior Advisor, Channel Programs The Channel Advisors · Remote, United States · Travel to channel events You have built a channel program. Now build them for a living. About The Channel Advisors The Channel Advisors helps technology suppliers build channel programs that produce revenue through the TSD ecosystem. Founded in 2023 by a channel operator who built and sold a UCaaS company and then ran the eastern United States for a TSD, TCA runs on the Channel 2.0 Methodology, a partner-pipeline framework validated since 2018, and delivers it through consulting, marketing, TCA University, the Channel Underground job board, and Channel Certified, the standard and application that grade a supplier's channel readiness. Elevate your channel. The role Suppliers reach TCA through referrals from TSD supplier managers, field sellers, and past clients, and through the free Channel Readiness Assessment. You take those conversations from first call to signed engagement, then lead the 90-day build that turns a supplier's TSD agreements into a program with a partner pipeline, KPIs, and a channel manager in seat. Two calls to a proposal, five to six weeks to signature, and the relationship is yours after. What you will do • Find suppliers that need a program: work your TSD and supplier network for introductions, carry a visible point of view in the channel, and convert inbound from the Channel Readiness Assessment. • Run discovery the TCA way: a 30-minute first call where the prospect talks first, the readiness assessment as homework, and a second call that sizes the gap, tests their plan against the economics, and sets up the proposal. • Write and close the scope of work at TCA's standard terms, inside the prospect's timeline. • Lead the 90-day build as a fractional channel chief: executive strategy session, gap analysis, messaging tested with friendly technology advisors, CRM and KPIs, the channel manager hire, TSD applications. • Keep the pipeline honest in Salesforce and close the loop with every advocate who referred you. What you bring • Seven or more years in the TSD channel, on the supplier side or inside a TSD, with at least one channel program you built or rebuilt. • Relationships at two or more of the major TSDs and their field teams. • Fluency in channel economics (commissions, spiffs, MDF, favored-nation clauses, deal registration) and the ability to do the math in front of a CEO. • A sales record, and no hesitation quoting a five-figure monthly retainer on a first call. • The judgment to tell an executive their plan will not work and keep the relationship. • Daily use of AI for research and drafting, or the will to learn TCA's stack in your first month. What you get • A sales motion that has closed at the same terms twice this year, documented call by call and slide by slide. • The Channel Certified app: lead research, discovery pre-answers, the readiness assessment, the ROI calculator, and the client workspace where the build is tracked. • The Channel 2.0 Methodology, the deck, the templates, and an AI stack that turns an hour of your time into three or four. • Reach: the Channel 2.0 podcast, a 17,000-follower channel audience, and the Underground for the hires your clients will need. • A founder who still runs deals and will run the first two with you.
